Book Haul – Week commencing 16 February 2015

Hi to all you bookish folk out there

As usual for this time of year it’s a bit quiet on the book buying front due to Christmas just being a couple of months ago and with several birthdays imminent.  That said, I did get a lovely surprise waiting for me after being away for the weekend last week thanks to Jana at ‘That Artsy Reader Girl‘ blog and the lovely people at atom publishing and Little Brown UK.

‘Unspeakable’ by Abbie Rushton has been described by the author herself as ‘part thriller, part gay love story’.  The clever aspect is that one of the protagonists is a mute girl who finds her voice thanks to the relationship but at the risk of letting out a secret which could destroy everything.

Thank you again to Jana and the people at atom/Little Brown for this book.

On the reading front, I finished ‘The Rosie Project’ by Graham Simison whilst I was away which I would happily recommend to anybody reading this blog and I am currently reading ‘Wild’ by Cheryl Strayed.

Hope you all have a lovely what’s left of your weekend and please feel free to post links to your hauls in the comments below.

A review for ‘The Rosie Project’ has already been posted on my Goodreads account and will be published here tomorrow.
